Cotter Dam

This week we headed out to Cotter dam on the afternoon I heard it had reached its new Capacity for the first time and was about to overflow.

The Dam was quite tricky to photograph with any level of satisfaction but I did get some OK partial shots of the water falling with a total storage capacity of 76,200 million litres since the upgrade finished in 2013. That has me feeling quite secure in terms of water supply for now.

We went to see the Dam but as per usual I was more enamoured with the wildlife and the canoodling Cockatoos were enchanting.

I haven't been very active here but I have been working on something new that I will share soon, I'm also doing some behind the Scenes work on this baby to make it easier for me, it shouldn't affect what you see. x

  1. Cute, cute and cute. I love cockatoos, but they are loud, loud and even more loud.

May I use your waterfall picture as my desktop image for a while?

    1. You may Gorgeous friend! We have the cockatoos around our local area and when they start making a ruckus I refer to it as a cacophony of cockatoos.

  2. Thank you. Unfortunately, your images are gone, with a message that one needs to be a member to have access. Was a lovely picture.

I love cockatoos but I think that cacophony is a huge understatement for when they get going. I had a friend with two of them, the pink/cream-ish ones. Just the two of them could drive you crazy, or out of the house. There were times when I visited her that I could hear them a couple of houses down the block from her. Sweet and loud birds.
