letting Go - part two. Explanation.

Dear {manager}

After 2 1/2 wonderful years working at { Company name and location } the time has come to say goodbye.
 I am Sorry that this comes at an unfortunate stage of Store staffing issues however my personal circumstances dictate this is the right time for me personally.
 Please accept this as my letter of resignation effective 21/07/2010.

Regards

The companies social networking policy limits me in what I can say here and is a bit cloudy in my mind so I'll err on the side of caution.
I'll sign this off simply and honestly saying that after 2 1/2 half years the job did not serve the purpose or fulfil the need it did when I started in in Jan 2008. Changes in our family and myself in those years mean that it is time to let it go. We will miss the small contribution of income but I have opened the doors to possibility now.

  6. OOOYes that is a rather hard decision to make and now i can understand your previous posts more. Here's me thinking you were going to throw out an old bed or something or buy a car..ummm miles off. and as Debra says..."one door closes and another opens...how exciting.

  9. An exciting time but a little unknown too. I am sure things will work out for the best; and you will work around the income reduction. Last year my income for food/petrol and everything that isn't a bill was reduced by a quarter. Now while I am not putting aside money to save up for things (not enough to go around) I am managing with the reduction. It's not ideal but it won't be forever.
    Possibilities are exciting, enjoy the time taken to decide on where to go. Anytime you want to talk you can email/call me. Bec xxx

  12. I've just come to a very similar decision.
    I've been able to take leave without pay ... but I wonder if I'll ever go back. Onward to new possibilities...

  14. Good on you Tam. Life is too short to be continuing down a path that isn't leading where you want to go. Sometimes you've just gotta take a leap of faith and trust that what you know in your heart is the right thing to do. Enjoy.
