We have been living here for almost 8 months now ... about 7 1/2.
I am just now starting to really feel like this is our home and not someone else's home we moved into. I guess this feeling was the effect of meeting and communicating with the previous owners during the sale process. I'm taking much delight in seeing spring unfold in the garden, though I know it is technically still winter a week of lovely weather and a garden full of sweet smelling jonquils and daffodils together are making my heart sing.
This last week has seen me planting seeds, unpacking neglected boxes, re arranging the garage and laundry cleaning out cupboards, finding better places for things and starting to think 'pretty' and 'homey' as well as functional. There is still a way to go but I really think that this is our 'forever home' so we have plenty of time to let it all evolve.
I'm in such a great place emotionally right now.
Happy just does not begin to describe the contentment I am feeling.
It can take a while to make a house a home Tammy, so glad to hear you are feeling happy :)ReplyDelete
That's just perfect Tammy... May you stay in this beautiful place for a long, long while...ReplyDelete
how wonderful Tammy. I'm so glad you are so happy and content.ReplyDelete
It's a wonderful feeling to find true contentment wherever we are in the world, whatever our circumstances! Enjoy where you are here and now. Blessings, TammyReplyDelete
The art of contentment is the recognition that the most satisfying and the
most dependably refreshing experiences of life lie not in great things but
in little. The rarity of happiness among those who achieved much is evidence
that achievement is not in itself the assurance of a happy life. The great,
like the humble, may have to find their satisfaction in the same plain things.
