Envy

Envy Neck warmer by John Brinegar that is. This is what occupied my creative Space this week.
Modelled by an early morning bed haired, shiny faced me.

I did not knit in the gauge specified, I used two strands of 8 ply on 8mm needles, I did 14 rpts of the cable pattern but it still didn't get up to 23 inches. I felt this was long enough for me. It knitted up quickly and depending on where you place the buttons you can make it sit a little differently I think this will be great to wear with things that have no collar and when wearing a heavy coat.

I have found it really hard to capture the true colour, I'll try again a bit later and update the pics if I have any luck. Its chocolate and caramel with some pale pink in it. ( then maybe I won't look quite so white either - ah, who am I trying to kid. lol)

  1. Looks great... and more importantly will keep that neck really toasty in the cold Canberra winter.

  2. Lovely Tam. You're right, it'd be perfect for wearing with those "collar-less" tops under a jacket. Must start a new knitting project.....there's plenty of shivers left in winter yet!

  5. It looks great and practical. I made a scarf the other day, no pattern and not to much forethought, it is about 3 meters long and on my short frame hangs past my knees. I think I am in for some unravelling fun!

  14. Very nice! I have been coveting a scarf like that for a while. So practical. When I finish my crochet rug I might give one a go. Lovely wool!

  15. Love the neckwarmer! I find them even warmer to wear than scarves, and they have the added benefit of not giving you an extra set of boobs under your overcoat like thick scarves can!

  16. For me it still sounds so weird that it's winter in some parts of the world, while I fight the summer heat in Bucharest...
I have the same problem with my color reproduction in photos, it's strange to live on the West side, I guess.
    Have a great day!
