Happy new year ...

in 2009 I ...
Brought my preservative cutting simple living attempts to the general public through my blog.
I started sewing, knitting and crocheting again.
I regained some passion for paper.
I learned to bake bread, shortbread and gingerbread.
I made labneh for the first time.
I watched my Children grow and develop in leaps and bounds.
I learned to communicate a little better with my partner.
I learned about cutting losses and moving forward.
I learned 'those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.'  ( Dr Seuss )
I learned who my true friends were.
I grew potatoes, garlic, strawberries, tomatoes and dwarf carrots again - with mixed results.
I grew lettuce and onions for the first time also with mixed results ... lol.

Most importantly and summarising it all  ...
I grew as a person, a parent and a partner.

Happy new Year.

  6. Good on you Tam. It is important to acknowledge the achievements of the previous year, not just set goals for the year to come. We need to celebrate our successes, big and small. Your writings about life have been an inspiration this year. Happy 2010 Tammy and family....may it be all you dream of and more! Love Anita. xx
