Something different in my Creative Space this week ... the drastically reduced tops I bought yesterday I couldn't resist the cute, crooked ruffle detail on this one ...
It was $4.00!! It is a lightweight 100% cotton and will be my first attempt at a major refashion. I'm seeing it as a simple summer dress for Miss5. Heres hoping that I can translate what is in my brain to the fabric I have in the garment.
The second top is a soft drapey viscose ... it feels lovely and I don't have a definite destiny in mind for it .. Any suggestions? I am a womens small and this is an XL so enough in it to possibly alter it to something for moi!
A couple of packets of seeds there too, this gorgeous weather has me getting creative with my space outside and wanting dirt under my nails ... but before I do any of that I have a house calling for attention after I have wasted too much time playing with twitter widgets, buttons and blog templates this morning!

ReplyDeleteGreat bargains and at $4, you can jump in with your first refashion without worrying if things don't go to plan. Good luck...
ReplyDeleteThat ruffle top will definitely be a winner!
ReplyDeleteLove the ruffle top T. With the paisley one, you could trim to a loose fit and add some soft black? jersey perhaps under the bodice...do you like the empire? look. I can imagine that. You could also make spaghetti straps for summer or taper the sleeve to a little more fitting, perhaps even an ever so slight frill. The ideas are endless really...do you have any old patterns to help along the way? Have fun sweetie. I love the paisley print, cant wait to see what you remodel to..:)x
ReplyDeleteGreat bargains are one of life's treats, aren't they? Well done!
