Magpies

Last year we had Ravens nesting near by and the visits of magpies to our garden was negated by the presence of these other beautiful, destructive birds. This year the magpies are back! Hooray I love them.

It pleases me to see these two bring two noisy, demanding young down and feed them in our yard.

I took this picture with my phone, from the verandah one morning after School drop off. The adults were atop the trampoline net warbling a beautiful serenade.
