Happy Birthday little sis.

Well she is younger than me but definitely not little. She is my Sister but more of a friend really.
Here is what I made for her.

A pretty girly Zet monster using Mel Goodsell's pattern from Earlier this year ( the name of the magazine escapes me ATM ). My Sister asked me to make her one using this fabric when I made the monsters for my kids. I personalised this one with some yellow wool hair, a beautiful floral hair accessory, tested out my embroidery skills on that cheeky lopsided monster grin and gave her a pretty neck bow. At Lunch my Daughter named her 'Rosie'.

I made her a card from bits primarily in my Scrap bags. The card size is not quite 3 inches x 5.
I took a lot of inspiration from the styles I see being used on all the Stampin Up (SU) Demonstrator blogs I am perusing these days. But I 'Tammyed' it but using my own preferred comfort colours and well I just had to embellish a little. LOL. When I was up in Brisbane last Year Jaki let me go a bit wild with the SU Scallop Circle punch in my scrap bags. I used one of those pre punched circles and added a Inque Boutique Stamped sentiment. It was missing something until I added the Heidi Swapp large Acetate Heart. I was so sad to read earlier in the week that Heidi isn't producing embellishments any more.

I'm really happy with this card, had fun making it. I'm hoping to do some more Paper playing this afternoon too. This morning was nice, a little house work, a little fabric play, a little paper play, a few cups of tea, online inspiration .... All nicely balanced. I still have some housework to do and feel like a nap after that big Birthday Lunch dad just shouted us to. Will just have to see how the afternoon pans out. I hope you are all enjoying yours and keeping cool too. Or warm if you are reading from a winter zone. : )

  3. She is way to cute, I love the hair and the grin. The card is really gorgeous as well, I have also been watching a few SU videos and blogs and really would love to get a demo done here but I daren't as you know me I will have to buy the whole catalogue. Santa (me) just went and got my chrissy prezzie and it is nothing at all to do with craft.
    Have a good week
    xx Linda
