My Creative Space

Its been a long time since I attended a wedding and even a longer time since I have sewed something for myself to wear.
I have an idea that I could make my own dress, I got this 1966 pattern on e bay for a bargain ... 99c ... I'm thinking if it works and fits I'd like to sew it up in a pretty print for an everyday dress.

To see some more creative peoples happenings this week pop on over to Kirsty's

Wish me luck.

  5. Cute cute cute! I bought a similar style dress pattern at Vinnie's the other day... now I just have to figure out how to use my sewing machine properly. I had my first mini sewing lesson yesterday from my sister-in-law. Will practice again this weekend.

  9. Oh wow! I love that pattern. Hope it does work. I'd love to start making 60s frocks - I think there'd be a real market for them because no-one can fit into the op ones anymore ;) Isn't it funny how it's all 21st parties and then all the weddings and then they dry up and suddenly it's your friend's kid's 21st and then it'll be their weddings etc... :) K
