Wondering Why...

Do I not have more pride in my home, dedicate more time to my children and partner, have the motivation to put the washing away immediately after I fold it, do the dishes after dinner instead of the next day, empty the bin before it gets full, iron Daves shirts before he needs them, clear the CLUTTER pile off the desk, organise and do some research towards creating a child friendly back yard.

Feeling a bit guilty about not being the Mum I know I can be, no one tells you about the guilt that comes with being a mum do they ? But boy do I ever love those kids and I guess that is why, because I only want the absolute best for my babies.

I just have to work on developing a better balancing act, or should that be juggling act ??

  1. definitely juggling act!!

Housework will wait but little ones are only little for such a short time. Don't feel guilt over the housework!!

By the way...guilt is a hormone that occurs with pregnancy and is then with you for life :)

Chin up, you are doing a great job!

  2. It certainly is a juggling act... I go through stages where everything is neat and tidy and I spend lots of time with the little ones and then I fall back into what I call my *bored* routine :(
    But I agree with Jaki's comments :D

  3. Life with little people can be tough, I'm sure we all agree. And the guilt is part and parcel of motherhood. So what if you don't do the dishes straight away or put away the clothes. It just makes you human like the rest of us! Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!! LOL

At the end of the day, those little people love you unconditionally and don't care if the sink is full of dishes and really, when it all comes down to it, that's all that matters....love!

  4. Tammy I know as Women we do have "Super powers" but we all have our limits & all do feel, or at some time have felt as you do now, often

Yes, the dish's etc will wait quite happily until you get around to them & I'm sure the love of your life is more than happy to run the iron over a shirt if need be

Nurturing the spirits of your children is far more important,& you do that well
Your've got your priority's right, I would say, reading from your second post "I'm off to snuggle & watch a movie with my man" You're doing GOOD

Remember our children grow up & leave us, but the man of our dreams, hopefully is with us for life
